The high-efficiency composite flocculant is a novel, highly effective agent obtained by compounding an organically synthesized polymeric flocculant with inorganic polymeric flocculant—polyaluminum chloride. By screening various additives when mixing these two compounds, we have successfully addressed the challenge of layering, ensuring that the mixture remains homogeneous for up to 1 year without any separation. Experimental results demonstrate that this high-efficiency composite flocculant exhibits excellent flocculation performance, characterized by simple operation, rapid reaction kinetics, large floc formation, quick sedimentation, and strong decolorization capability. It also boasts advantages in removing COD, heavy metals, and turbidity.
1. The high-efficiency composite flocculant combines the advantages of inorganic flocculants—low cost and charge neutralization—with the adsorption-bridging coagulation effect of organic flocculants. Moreover, under the action of catalysts and coagulation nuclei, particles in wastewater aggregate to form a stable double-layer structure, thereby achieving rapid sedimentation.
2. The high-efficiency composite flocculant features simple operation, rapid reaction speed, large floc formation with quick sedimentation, and strong decolorization capability. It also boasts advantages in removing COD, heavy metals, and turbidity.
3. Use dry powder direct addition to reduce equipment investment in dissolving tanks and pumps.
